Teaching pedagogies
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Model
Chandigarh University adopts the Outcome-Based Education model to shift the focus from the teaching inputs to measurable learning outcomes: Well-defined Program Outcomes (POs), Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs) are defined for every subject. Learning outcomes are phrased in the language of Bloom's Taxonomy in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
Learner-Centered Pedagogy
We establish a student-centered learning environment that fosters curiosity, engagement, and critical thinking: Active learning paradigms include Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Flipped Classrooms, Case Studies, Think-Pair-Share, Peer Teaching, and Collaborative Discussions. They are also encouraged to take charge of learning with mentoring and active class discussions.
Synthesis of Theory and Practical Utility
Our curriculum allows for balanced integration of theory with practical applications: Practical experience is complemented by facilities like Model Pharmacy, Simulations of Community Pharmacy, and Hospital and Industrial Training. Students execute mini-projects, live assignments, and capstone projects to apply learning to real-world contexts.
Leveraging ICT and Internet Platforms
To support the teaching-learning process, we employ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) intensively: Smart classrooms, e-content, virtual labs, and AI-based simulations are a part of everyday teaching. They can utilize top-of-the-line digital platforms such as SWAYAM, NPTEL, and LMS tools such as Moodle and Google Classroom. Webinars, video lectures, and computer graphics also augment concept comprehension.
Continuous Internal Assessment
We have a strong system of formative and summative assessments to ascertain ongoing academic progress: Internal evaluations include unit tests, assignments, viva-voce, seminars, and presentations. Use of well-defined rubrics and measurement tools facilitates objectivity, transparency, and monitoring of student progress.
Experiential and Skill-Based Learning
Our curriculum is skill-building and experiential learning based on PCI standards: Practical skills include drug compounding, dispensing, prescription review, pharmaceutical calculation, and instrumental methods (e.g., HPLC, UV, FTIR). Hospital postings, industrial internships, and community pharmacy experiences allow students to derive experiential knowledge.
Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Learning
We promote inter-disciplinary contact and co-operation at Chandigarh University: Common learning modules and projects are done with departments such as Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics, Management, Law, and Languages. Industry partnerships, MoUs, and visiting lectures establish a robust industry-academia interface. Students are advantaged by exposure to sponsored labs and collaborative research projects.
Legal Lab for IPR and Regulatory Practices
Apart from the School of Law, Chandigarh University also provides a Legal Lab with the mission to enhance the skillset of students in: Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patent registration, and legal documents Real-time case study analysis of pharma regulations and compliance Understanding the regulatory framework governing the pharma sector by way of specialist workshops and conferences
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development
We foster entrepreneurial aspirations through the Entrepreneurship Development Lab, in partnership with the Business School: They are instructed in business planning, pharma marketing, start-up incubation, and innovation strategies. Practical modules and industry mentorship give training in financial management, pharma supply chain management, and commercialization of IP.
Student Mentorship and Faculty Development
Our lecturers are continuously up skilled by: Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), AICTE-ATAL workshops, and MOOCs They also serve as mentors by giving students’ academic as well as personal advice to create balanced students.

Admission
You become eligible for admission into Chandigarh University after clearing the CUCET examination. Following your attempt at CUCET, the result will shortly be intimated, based on which you can submit your application for admission and avail merit-based scholarship.
