B.Sc (Hons.) - Forensic Science
The B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forensic Science is a three-year full-time programme, with an optional fourth year for research, designed for students who want to connect science with investigation and justice. Aligned with NEP 2020, the programme builds your foundation in biology, chemistry and physics before taking you into crime scene investigation, DNA analysis, toxicology, fingerprints, ballistics, questioned documents, digital forensics and forensic medicine. From your first year you learn through crime scene simulations, case-based activities, advanced instrumentation, digital forensic tools and AI-enabled investigation, with internships and expert interactions adding real-world context.
This program opens pathways across forensic analysis, crime scene investigation, toxicology, fingerprint examination, questioned documents, digital forensics and forensic consultancy, depending on where your interest lies. It also creates opportunities to engage with police, CBI, CFSLs, SFSLs, FSLs, research institutions and forensic laboratories. If you are inclined towards research, with technology reshaping investigation, forensic science offers continued scope for professional growth.

You become eligible for admission into Chandigarh University after clearing the CUCET examination. Following your attempt at CUCET, the result will shortly be intimated, based on which you can submit your application for admission and avail merit-based scholarship.
